About The LOEL Senior Center

The LOEL Senior Center was started in 1976 by William Holz. With his initial bequest, the LOEL (LOdi ELderly) Foundation was born.

The first LOEL site was located at the Hotel Lodi on School Street. Its mission was to be a Senior Agency congregate nutrition site. In 1978, the center and its programs grew when Mr. Holz purchased a vacant church on South Washington Street and we’ve been there ever since.

Today, the LOEL Senior Center continues to grow with the community and strives to meet the needs of today’s seniors.

Our efforts continue to make Mr. Holz’s dream, to love and care for the senior community of Lodi, a reality.

About The LOEL Senior Center

The LOEL Senior Center was started in 1976 by William Holz. With an initial $100,000.00 bequest, the Lodi Elderly, or LOEL Foundation was born.

The first LOEL site was located at the Hotel Lodi on School Street. Its mission was to be a Senior Agency congregate nutrition site. In 1978, the center and its programs grew when Mr. Holz purchased a vacant church on South Washington Street.

Today, the LOEL Senior Center continues to grow with the community and strives to meet the needs of today’s seniors.

Our efforts, in turn, have made Mr. Holz’s dream to love and care for the senior community of Lodi a reality.
