Reading and Library

Scientific studies have found many benefits of reading for seniors including: enhanced memory, improved decision-making skills and delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Our LOEL Library has a large selection of books and puzzles available for checkout.

Book Buddies Club

The LOEL Book Buddies Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. There is no pre-registration, just show up and join in. Call 369-1591 with any questions.

Movie Matinees

Catch a movie at LOEL. Our free matinees include popcorn and punch. Check our calendar for movie titles, dates, and times. No sign ups required. 

In Touch Calling

The In-Touch Program is a free phone support program for older adults and disabled people of all ages. It is a personal phone calling service that telephones people who live alone in Lodi.

For those that live alone – this program offers great comfort in knowing that real-life voice will be calling each weekday (excludes holidays). Contact the center for more information.

Blood Pressure Checks

Each Tuesday at 9am LOEL offers free Blood Pressure checks.

Day Bus Trips

We have occasional day trips to places like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Apple Hill, and to the local casinos. A chartered bus is used and there is a fee.

Health Insurance Counseling for Medicare

This is a free referral service.

Notary Services

This is a referral service to certified Notary Republics, fees may apply.

Mobile Farmers Market

This service is provided by the Emergency Food Bank of Stockton on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30am. Must provide your own bags.
